In January Matt was pleased to be confirmed as a member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (SIIRSM) which allowed him to strengthen his credentials when providing risk management services.
In February MHP were please to be asked to support Premier Foods as CDM Coordinator for a new mechainical project at their Worksop plant, a project that was successfully delivered and allowed MHP to deliver a very well receieved half day training session on the new CDM regualtions
The company also undertook several project safety audits on behalf of the team.
Over February and March MHP assisted with the selection of consultants for a proposed Nestle Waters factory, this included interviewing a number of consultants, some new to the company and others including Arup that were a little more familiar! MHP provided the initail budgets and order of magnitude costing for this project over a period of some 8 months until the project was aborted. As part of the budget process MHP were please to be able to beta test a new Nestle cost forecasting tool and provide some feedback regarding £m2 rates calculated by the spreadsheets.
In March MHP were please to again strengthen the relationship being built with Britvic by providing CDM Coordination services on another factory project in Norwich.
September saw the company gain two new clients with a request to support Land Water Resource Consultancy (LWRC) with 2 projects in Newcastle for Lanchester Wines, and a request from Arup to assist with the delivery of a forensic health and safety file for Jaguar Landrover.
October saw the first review of documents on behalf of Arup, and over the remainder of 2015 the company processed 60Gb of data coveriong operation and maintenance manuals before issuing the first draft of the health and safety file.
The company was approached in November by Arctic Services for support on a local project at Southall where they were installing a new refrigeration plant for a sushi company. MHP were able to resolve some internal project concerns and get the contractor and project back on a compliant footing. Following on from this the company have been asked to provide weekly site inspections of the construction site.
Following the cancellation, in November, of an anticipated major project the practice was able to support the Safetymark consultancy with projects for the Territorial Army (South coast), Kier Southern (Harrow Schools), Enfield Council and the Northwick Park Hospital Trust.
In December MHP were approached by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors to author new health and safety guidance via their “Isurv” website, and to ensure, through quarterly updates that the information remains current. This was published in its first form in February 2016
2015 saw the start of a long road trip delivering CDM training to clients and contractors including Brtivic, Premier Foods, and contractors in Leeds and the peak district. This year saw a total of 30,000+ business miles travelled between clients, sites and training sessions.
